Felecia D. Barron is a social entrepreneur and founder of Purposeful Parenting LLC & Felecia Barron, LLC. Ms Barron is a Graduate of Indiana University, certified community health worker, certified children’s mental health wraparound provider, certified life coach & certified business coach. Ms. Barron has served families since 2005 in multiple capacities. She has worked in child welfare, mental health, education and the juvenile justice system.

She passionately states “I flip families like people flip houses”, to describe the outcome of services she provides. For the past 15 years Ms. Barron has worked with families by helping adults and children identify their needs and working alongside them as they reach their goals. In addition to serving special populations, Ms. Barron empowers social service workers to go into business for themselves. She provides coaching that teaches them how to get properly compensated for the valuable contribution they are making to our society. During her career she has applied strategic thinking, trauma informed, evidence based practices to help families who need assistance getting life on track

I started out just like you. Working with families, loving what I do. I have been cursed out, hit kicked spit on and more. In situations like that, you know what we do. Build rapport, intervene and help get that family on track. At some point in my career, I saw an invoice from one of the payors. The company made about $100 for every face-to-face hour that I had worked. I was making a little over 10% of that. I’m cool with meeting people where they are, I understand that families are going through different thing and lash out. But I am not ok with getting cheated out of money I worked for. I was a single mom with young children. My car half worked. with this 10% they were giving me I was living pay check to pay check struggling to make ends meet. I decided to boss up and take my cut.

I spoke to other business owners, some were helpful, but most were not as helpful as I would have hoped. I had to figure things out for myself. I had to work to learn the business side of things. I have had ups and downs in my business there are ups and downs in every business. I can show you how to get started and avoid the challenges I experienced.
